From 8AM – 3PM daily we offer breakfasts & lunches aimed to satisfy the hungry backpacker. Egg dishes, crepes, fruit, salad, sandwiches and the like are prepared lovingly by our staff of indigenous women and cost around $3 to $5 a meal.
Dinner is served at 7:00 and the fixed menu is a delicious 3-course feast consisting of soup with homemade bread, a hot main course (vegetarian option always available), and coffee, tea & cake for dessert – all for Q60 (around $8.00). We can meet most dietary restrictions if you let us know in advance.
Saturday night barbecue parties at the Iguana are somewhat legendary on the backpacker trail. We serve chicken or vegie burgers and a huge buffet of side dishes and salads, followed by our famous chocolate brownies. Guitars & drums emerge and after a few flavored vodka shots you’re guaranteed to hear the chicken bus song. Our bar is open every day and night for sodas, beer, wine, spirits and bottled water too.
